Scored a new pair of JEGGINGS at DSW. Holla. These puppies are Jessica Simpson brand… I’ve never bought any of her clothes but I’ve heard great things.
Once I no longer look like a two ton heffer in them (thanks to my new Shape Ups) I will post a picture of me in them. I’m desperatly trying to shed the 10 pounds I’ve gained this winter in time for a cruise I’m going on in June.
…Buy it in every color. I was at DSW only to return a pair of shoes when these puppies caught my eye. Because I am compulsive, I naturally bought two pairs. Here’s the link to Madden Girl Klenn Canvas Wedge Sandal on DSW.
I mentioned here that I need a new head shot… I want to wait till the weather is a bit warmer and it’s sunnier out and I’ve gotten rid of the winter flub I’ve accrued lately. I’ve been thinking about what I want to wear, I knew from the get go I wanted to wear my skinny jeans or jeggings with some brown knee high boots. I’ve had an image in my mind of the blouse I wanted to wear, and when I walked past Old Navy yesterday, there it was, the exact shirt I had been picturing in my mind. I’m in love. I thought I was going to have to spend $4,598 to find the shirt I wanted… and that is why I love Old Navy.
So here is my inspiration for my new head shot photo… I like the J.Crew necklace but it is out of my budget at the moment.

On a side note, I got Adobe Illustrator CS5 for Christmas which enables me to make these mood boards. I wanted to get the whole Creative Suite, but that was just a bit too much money for me, and besides all I really want is Illustrator and Photoshop. And all I really want in Photoshop is their background eraser tool, which would let me get rid of the white around some of the images above. So my question for anyone who knows is, can you background erase in Illustrator? I’m really hoping I don’t have to pay $500 for Photoshop since that’s really the only tool I want.
A few years ago my New Years Resolution was to never leave without mascara on. The habit stuck and now I won’t leave house without it. If I could only wear one product for the rest of my life it would be mascara, I think it is the single product that makes the biggest difference. I’ve worn Clinique since middle school since my step mom took me to the mall for my very first makeup lesson. I love Clinique, forever and ever and I don’t plan on ever trying anything else. I think 90% of my love for it is the packaging and branding, so clean and simple. So here are my 5 makeup essentials, the products I use everyday. Notice I don’t have any lip products, I’m not a huge lipstick/ gloss person, I can never remember to wear it, but I have it and my favorite product is
1. Quickliner for Eyes. Goes on very smooth, which is a must for me.
2. Moisture Sheer Tint. My second favorite product next to the mascara. I never leave house without it also.
3. Lash Power Mascara. My favorite mascara, ever. It won’t come off with eye makeup remover, only hot water takes it off. I love, love, love it.
4. Almost Bronzer. No explanation needed.
5. Touch Base for Eyes. Love, love, love this stuff. You can use it as a base or on its own, which is what I mainly due.
That’s about it! Remember, if it takes you longer than five minutes to do your makeup, you’re doing it wrong.
I’m considering buying a pair of Shape Ups… I’m going on a cruise in June and my tush and thighs are in needed of some serious toning. Has anyone tried these? Do they really help you firm up?
The wedding/ fashion world is all abuzz lately… Anthropologie announced a while back that they would be launching a bridal line, BHLDN. Wellllll ladies (and men), Glamour got a hold of a few pictures of the soon to be released line, so I though I’d pass them on!

…not for the bride. It is not uncommon for a wedding planner to be on her feet for 12+ hours on wedding day which means it’s absolutely necessary to wear comfy shoes. Here are my top picks:
Majorly cute, a majorly comfy, or so I’ve heard from my colleague. They are on the to-buy list for sure.
I actually just ordered these today… they just went on sale for $19.95… major steal. A different colleague swears by these.
And lastly…
These came highly recommended by a vendor. Very cute, and you can’t go wrong with crocs.
One last thought… So even though these are all high on comfort, you still can’t wear one pair of shoes when you are on your feet all day. On wedding day I always bring at least 2 pairs of shoes, most times 3 with me.

I got mine at Macy’s… they are the rage right now so the selection at my local start was picked over so I would suggest ordering them online. The brand is Hue, they are called Skinny Jeanz. I did have to buy a size Large which they don’t appear to have online. I bought them in black (what I am wearing in the picture).

I love me a man in Vineyard Vines. When I get married, my husband and groomesmen will be wearing their ties. I know some people think VV is the height of pretentiousness, but I love it, forever and ever. That is all.
I stumbled across Chloe & Reese in a bridal magazine (can’t remember which one) and I am loving their style. Some great bridesmaid dress options but also so awesome skirts and dresses…
