Les Recettes de Ma Mère

Bonjours a toutes!  I have a box full of my mother’s recipes, most of which are in French, that I am going to be slowly scanning, translating and posting to my blog.  My mom was a gourmet cook trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.  My goal for 2010 2011 2012 is to get all these recipes translated and to start cooking them!

  1. Choucroute Maison (Homestyle Sauerkraut).  This was the first one I pulled out of the box to translate, having no clue what on earth choucroute was.  Come to find out it is sauerkraut… eek.  Oh well, the next one, Tarte au Fromage Blanc, sounds très delicieux!

More coming soon (knock on wood)…

  1. WOW! You are a light under a bushel.
I am tinkled pink that now it is my turn to get to know you.
Everybody else will just have to wait their turn.
This is a peaceful and very lovely blogspot to take a breather from life’s hectic pace.
I am sure I shall visit often.

  2. Oh my gosh, I love this! Had no idea your Mom studied at Le Cordon Bleu!

  3. Is it now your goal for 2012?
