My Sister Got Married

My sister got married last month, so between that (which included a week + in California) and finishing up three classes for the semester (which included submitting my thesis proposal), blogging has taken a backseat to life.

Here are a few pics, enjoy! Search #KublerWedding on instagram for more (like this, one of my favorites!).

Credit for a few of the photos goes to Sue Langlie- thanks for letting steal them :) IMG_8908

I am the newest fan of Drybar + blow out bars in general.  They did a great job on the bridesmaids’ hair.

Bouquets, and mint milanos.

Obviously I didn’t take this one.

IMG_9015

Totally surprised my dad held it together.

IMG_9028

Seriously the most gorgeous venue.

IMG_9026

Don’t let the picture fool you, it was very windy and everything on the tables was flying everywhere.

IMG_9027

Welcome to the Daniel craziness, brother!

Step-mom’s side of the family.

I would like record to state that I wanted a food truck wedding long before my sister had the idea to have one.

IMG_8915

Food truck weddings are the way to go people. They were a total hit.

IMG_8916

The bar, in case you weren’t sure.

IMG_8917

Two of her friends did all the the lettering/ graphic design for the wedding.  Everything turned out beautifully.

IMG_9021

Happy couple.

IMG_8918

In-N-Out, obvi.

IMG_8945

4+ years of wedding planning gets the credit for the cute napkin fold I thought of.  They were a lot cuter- this picture is a little disheveled.  There also was a sprig of Rosemary? I think next to the silver (bamboo) ware.

Every bouquet needs an artichoke.

IMG_8928

Seriously, this venue was perfect.

IMG_8929

There was even a too-cute Father of the Bride-like house.

IMG_8936

Get away car, because my sister was obsessed with this car when she was little (’57 Chevy).

Also, my older sister reminded me throughout the night that I had WAY TOO MUCH MAKEUP ON, so I am sorry to all in attendance.

My pretty sister.  And Kyle was there.

One of my fave photos.

Lark cake shop in LA made the cake, and it was delish.  Best cake in LA.  The cake topper came from Etsy.

Smores station, in case you couldn’t figure that out.

A little blurry, but you get the vibe.

IMG_8982

I don’t know what this is.

IMG_9009

Did I mention there was a 3rd food truck?  Cool Haus ice creak sandwiches, coffee + hot chocolate. NOM.

IMG_8988

I did not participate, nor will I ever participate in a conga line.  Although I happily will take a picture.

Vintage Wedding Invitation Stamps

This is a follow up to this post, Wedding Invitation Stamps because I just learned about this great company, The Paper Nickel Stamp Company that sells awesome vintage stamps.  Loves it for wedding invitations…. although rather pricey…. $2.00 for .45 cents worth of stamps.  So love the look though.

God Bless you Southern Weddings magazine for awesome finds like this.

Wedding Invitation Stamps

I like these.  You can buy them on USPS.com.

I spotted them here:

This Weekend’s Wedding

Here are a few pics from this weekend’s wedding.  I was not involved in any of the planning or design, I just stopped by to snap a few photos for the company.  It’s beautiful so enjoy!

Venue: Westwood Country Club, Vienna, Virginia

Florals: Friend of the Family

Vintage Navy Wedding

Here are a few pics I snapped from a wedding our company did the other week.  Lynn Nelson was the planner and I was the assistant planner.  The venue was the Thomas Birkby House in Leesburg, Virginia.

I absolutely love hydrangeas… the last picture is a bunch of them that I was able to snag and take home at the end.  The wedding was absolutely lovely… totally my wedding colors, Navy and Ivory.

The favors were s’mores…. matches, a graham cracker and some chocolate… how cute?

Nautical Themed Wedding

If I had to pick my wedding colors right now, they would be navy blue and seersucker.  And yes, I realize seersucker is not a color, but a type of fabric.  And no, I am not engaged, nor am I even dating anyone.  But being a wedding planner I’ve pretty much already determined what my entire wedding is going to look like.  It’s inevitable…  I see pretty things all the time and think “Oh, I’ve got to have that.”

I think guest welcome bags are always a fun idea… I love the idea of filling up a LL Bean boat & tote bag with some local goodies.  The bag in the image below is from Martha Stewart Weddings, if you follow the link below it will take you to details on the bag.

I love these table ‘numbers’.

BHLDN Ripoff Idea

I’m working on a coral + grey inspiration board for a October wedding so I was searching the BHLDN website for ideas.  It’s a farm wedding so I thought these totally fit with the theme.  But $14… no way.  I’m not a crafty person, but you could totally make these on the cheap by yourself.  Candles from target plus some branches from your backyard = totally cute.

Black, White & Pink Wedding Inspiration

Here is an inspiration board I made for an upcoming bride:

Ok I guess there’s not a ton of pink in it, but you get the picture :)
