My Kitchen Wish List, September 2010

Sometimes I wish I won a $10,000 shopping spree to Williams Sonoma and Sur La Table, but that will never happen, so, if I had an extra $100 bucks laying around, here is what I would buy:

Ramekins… so I can make souffles all day long.

Emile Henry® Baking Ramekins, Sets of 4

Cookie Cutters with square and round edges… to make biscuits and cookies in pretty shapes.

Square Cutter Set, Crinkle Edge

Cake strips… so that my cakes bake evenly.

Regency Evenbake Cake Strips

A knife sharpener… because my knives have not been sharpened in many years, which is very, very bad.

Furi FUR626 Ozitech Diamond Fingers Pro Knife Sharpener

And of course, all 80,000 cookbooks that are in my Amazon wish list.  Sigh.

Kitchen Islands

I need want a kitchen Island.  Here are the candidates:

Lenox Kitchen Island from WS Home… a wee bit out of my price range, but very lovely:

Salvaged Wood Kitchen Island from RH– again, way out of my price range (and way too big for my kitchen), but lovely:

Harvest Table from Target… really target?  $829???

As always, it looks like IKEA is gonna win…

I Want These

I want four of these Le Creuset Mini Cocottes

And this

Pretty much everything in my Amazon wish list is food related, I’m trying to figure out if that is pathetic or refined….I’m not sure…

Retrouve Chair

I love the Retrouve Chair from The Conran Shop but I could never in a million years justify spending $750 on a single chair (seriously- who is going to spend that?)

I just found a MUCH cheaper $149 version at Anthropologie…. much better!

Site of the Week: Wisteria

I got Wisteria’s catalog in the mail today, here is what I am eyeing…

IKEA Expedit Bookshelf

I have been having dreams about the IKEA Expedit bookshelf because I am dying to get it.

Ever since I decided it would be perfect for my office I have seen it popping up everywhere… this morning it was in The Washington Post Home section in the home of actress Ali Wentworth:

My favorite blogger Nicole at Making It Lovely has Expedit in her studio…

I am loving how they both have pink walls.  It really is just a lovely, cheery color.

Here are some pics I found of it online in other people’s homes:

Once I get it I will for sure post some pics!

Cake Stands Galore

I just spent an hour putting together an exquisite post on cake stands and accidentally deleted it all… AHHH!

I am not going to completely recreate the post, instead here are the pics in a gallery.

These are all lovely cake and cupcake stands I found at IKEA, Pottery Barn, Williams- Sonoma, Food Network, Etsy and Target.

Boot Envy

I know this blog is about interiors, but I couldn’t resist sharing…  I am dying to have these boots:
